Product Chain from Natural Gas

The client required an independent report on the potential value chain for converting NG to chemicals, as an alternative to LNG production, to be utilized as a marketing tool for discussions with potential customers.

JCHEM Design provided the key technical content of this report, providing an assessment of a number of processes related to chemicals production from NG; ammonia, methanol, urea and formaldehyde.

The assessment covered a review of current technologies for each chemical, with a process description, typical flow sheet and operating performance. The processing of NG to LNG was also reviewed.
